And just like that, KLASS Torpedoes has finished their first official meet in 2 years. A determined team returned to the competition circuit, putting down impressive times for our time trials in February. From there, 10 boys and 10 girls were selected to represent Alice Smith in the virtual SEASAC swim meet - the most prestigious swim meet for international schools in Southeast Asia.

While the pandemic posed many challenges for us as a team, the Torpedoes have displayed incredible resilience and hard work. Since Term 1, we have seen swimmers from Y7 all the way to Y13 put in tremendous effort, support each other along the way, and give it their all in a new competitive environment (participating in an online competition is definitely a first for everyone!).

Special congratulations to Gabe, Ella and Grace who managed to place top 10 in their individual events. We’d also like to congratulate all the swimmers who competed in their first ever SEASAC - what a milestone!

Of course, none of this would’ve been possible without the help of our amazing coaches - Coach Nataliya, Coach Cheng Low, and Coach Ang. Thank you coaches for all the time, effort and passion you put into your work. We really appreciate it.

As we settle into a new normal, we know it will only get better from here. We can’t wait to see where this team will go!
