We are talking about all things eco! It is an exciting time at our JB campus as we set out to focus upon all things eco! Our school’s enthusiastic Eco-Warriors have started working hard to create positive, sustainable changes to our campus and make our school a much more environmentally friendly place to be.
Our JB goal this year is to become a Bronze awarded eco school. In order to do this, we are working together to raise the profile of sustainability alongside increasing awareness of how we can make a difference.
The first step of this process for us is to audit the current eco picture at JB. We have been asking students, staff and parents to evaluate our school’s performance across the 12 eco themes. These themes are based upon the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and they range from waste and water through to biodiversity and transport. Once we have gained this data, we will be able to use the results to decide upon our key areas of development in order to create positive, lasting change.
Our eco-warriors are fantastic innovators and are very excited to create long-term change at our school. As we continue on this journey, we will be sharing information with you and would love to hear your ideas and opinions along the way.
