The excitement of our 75th anniversary celebrations continues as we approach the end of our academic year on a high note. Here's a note from our Head of School, Roger Shultz, updating on some of the exciting events coming up later this term!

75th Anniversary Diamond 💎Gala Ball

Thanks to the great support of our community, donors and corporate partners, our gala ball is now a sold-out event with over 450 guests attending. We are delighted that the Ireland Ambassador and the British and Australian High Commissioners will be attending.

The funds raised from the ball will support the Endowment Fund and the work of the Alice Smith School Foundation, helping to sustain our not-for-profit school as a regional and world leader in education. Whether you are attending or not, you can support the event with our silent auction. The auction site will go live from 15 - 20 June. More details to follow next month. 

75th Anniversary Luncheon

Our anniversary celebrations continue with our luncheon talk on 29th June at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. This features our inspiring alumni, from the serial entrepreneur, Tan Sri Dr. Tony Fernandes to experienced property developer, Stephanie Kong of UOA Group and young inspiring entrepreneurs Francesca Chia of GoGet and Zac Liew of Curlec.

Themed Thriving in the New Norm for a Sustainable Future, discover the secrets of how our alumni are finding ways to achieve this, with sustainability in mind. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah AO, Founder and Chairman of the Sunway Group will deliver a Special Address on  Advancing Sustainable Development. This promises to be an inspiring luncheon event and a great networking session. The talk will be emceed by our Sixth Form students and some of them will be attending the luncheon to be inspired by our alumni. 

The luncheon is sponsored by our Anniversary Shining Diamond Partners and supported by the British Malaysian High Commission Kuala Lumpur and the chambers of commerce- the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, EUROCHAM Malaysia, MICCI Malaysian International Chamber Of Commerce & Industry and Malaysia Australia Business Council.

The Ad Astra Deck and Wall 

We are delighted that the Australian High Commissioner, H.E. Dr Justin Lee will visit  our Secondary Campus next Thursday, 19th June H.E. will meet student leaders, open the Ad Astra Deck at the library and unveil the Ad Astra Wall. This will kickstart our last fundraising event this academic year to continue to raise funds for our Endowment. More details to follow next week on how you can do your part as you leave a remarkable legacy on this wall.

KLASSics Anniversary Nostalgic Walk

For parents and staff who are alumni, do get together on Thursday, 16th June to reignite memories at both campuses with other alumni who will be invited to be back in school. KLASSics, the alumni association will share more details with our alumni.
